His ability to disrupt offenses, block shots, throw his entire body into a foul, and muscle up on defense frustrated and intimidated everyone he played. His rebounding skills were pure genius. Rodman was a student of the game and perfected an awareness of how a ball would bounce off the rim and backboard. He positioned himself accordingly, which helped him become the game’s best rebounder. His performance on Isiah Thomas’s “Bad Boys” Pistons in the 80s and alongside Jordan with the Bulls in the 90s provided him platforms to reach his full potential. And, of course, he always put on a show with his zany hair coloring and flair for the dramatic. Rodman’s ‘97 Metal Universe card offers a marvelous photo of the star over a deep red background that has made Precious Metal Gems among the most recognizable and prized cards in the industry. This 088 of 100 serial stamped example is encased in a BGS 8 holder and represents one of the highest graded copies in existence. From 1996-98, the Bulls won three championships in large part because of Rodman’s presence on the boards. We expect bidders to crash the boards in extended bidding for a shot at winning this prize.","serial":"0014208869","isComplete":true,"paymentStatus":"PAID","itemVariantId":"e0bffcd9-b756-5ce1-95d8-31137f909d69","listingUuid":"234c9176-6f25-11ed-9f29-0a58a9feac02","purchasedQuantity":0}
