The background for Dennis Rodman’s #107 issue fits the otherworldly personality of one of the most notorious characters in NBA history. The Worm’s unique personality and behavior both on and off the court make him a defining piece of ‘90s NBA lore. Combine that with his Hall-of-Fame play, and Rodman remains a popular figure in basketball card collecting to this day.\r\n \r\nAs exciting as collectors found1997-98 Metal Universe base cards, the thrill grew exponentially if they uncovered a Precious Metal Gems parallel. “Once we got to the parallels, we said, ‘Let’s try to do something that as soon as you open that pack you would know this is not the base card,’” said Jean MacLeod, who served as a lead sports card designer for Fleer/Skybbox throughout the 1990s. “We really wanted you to know that you got something special.” \r\n\r\nFleer/SkyBox produced 100 PMGs per card, emblazoning the first 10 with Green foil and the remaining 90 with Red foil. Because of the full-bleed, easily chipped covering, the cards became some of the most condition-sensitive of the era, making them treasured targets no matter their grade. With the fiery red of this PMG matching Rodman’s Bulls jersey – and his demeanor on the court – plenty of bidders will likely battle as hard as the Worm did in the paint for the right to own this piece of ‘90s hoops history.\r\n\r\nThe certification number on this card has been checked against the third-party grader's online database and is active as of 08/12/2025.","serial":"70695168","isComplete":true,"paymentStatus":"Unpaid","itemVariantId":"e0bffcd9-b756-5ce1-95d8-31137f909d69","listingUuid":"67b71280-72ee-11f0-8398-0a58a9feac02","purchasedQuantity":0}
